I do not support the child porn argument. But the thesis that being attracted to children is not, in and of itself, immoral, is spot on. ACTING on that attraction is immoral. Whether that is through creating or viewing kiddie porn, molestation, voyeurism, or worse. But simply being attracted is not immoral.
I am married. I can acknowledge when a woman other than my wife is sexually appealing. I have never, and WILL never cheat on my wife. Does merely being attracted to another woman, with whom I will never, EVER do anything make me immoral?
If you answer yes, congratulations. You are not a hypocrite. But you better boycott the entire fashion industry, Hollywood, and most of TV. Because sex sells - and is used intentionally in that manner.
If you answered no, then you are a hypocrite.
Again, to he VERY clear. There is a difference between finding someone attractive and doing something about it. The former is not immoral. The latter MAY be, depending on the circumstances involved.

There's a difference to being attracted to adults of any sex and children. One need not act on thoughts or urges for them to still be immoral. You're conflating morality with legality.

I did not ask your opinion on legality, because the law does not have opinion. I asked your opinion on morality, because morality DOES have opinion. What one person views as moral, another may view as immoral.
You claim there is a difference between attraction to adults and attraction to children. Moreover you claim that there is a MORAL difference. So I ask you the following questions in support of your claim:
1) In order for something to have a moral component, does there have to be an element of choice? Do reflexes have morality?
2) What, in your mind, is the line between an adult and a child? Is it age? A stage of physical development? A stage of mental development? Some combination thereof? I do not mean the legal definition, because we are not talking about legality but about morality. I mean the actual, articulable line between adult and child. Where on one side attraction is moral, and on the other side it is immoral.
3) Is being sexually attracted to someone other than your spouse immoral? Again, just the attraction is all we are talking about. What about if you are single and sexually attracted to, well, anyone at that point, as you are not married?
