Which is more than what usually happens - nothing. Also, involuntary manslaughter is a felony in Michigan, punishable with up to 15 years in prison.

Yea, the sad part is nothing is going to bring those kids back. It's such a horrible situation, part of me wants nothing to happen to the parents and part of me wants them to be made an example of. What to do with those guns? If you lock them up, you probably won't be able to get to them when you need them, if you don't lock them up, something like this might happen.

If his possession of the pistol is a felony, then they should be charged with felony murder, if Michigan has such a charge.

Rittenhouse got away with exactly what you just said. Judge Schroeder is ultra right and wouldn't let this charge be heard by the jury even though it is on the Wisconsin books.
