As much as I love my child if I knew she was going to shoot up the school I would have called the cops, gotten her help and none of this would have happened...from what I have read all of this was preventable at multiple levels...parents need to be parents it best friends...we will see how it plays out but the fact that mom had foresight on it, well she should be charged as well.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Parents wanting to be their child's best friend is something I see every day as a teacher. You are correct, this whole tragedy could have been avoided if the parents had just taken action when they knew about it and got this kid help. I have still to read anything about why he did it. What was his motive?

Has there been any word/reports as to why the boy did this? All these reports got the other four W's, but missing the WHY part.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - Tracking. I am still curious as to the why part. His parents certainly didn't help the situation from what I've read. And if they had any knowledge of his plans...and it kind of sounds like it does...then they should burn as well. But I am curious as to why the kid shot up the school.

MSG (Join to see) The parents and the school both knew. The parents are charged and the school is getting off Scott free and the school sdnt him back to class where he proceeded to start shooting. Why haven't school officials been arrested
