SGT (Join to see) I was thinking about disco as well. But this disco song was 5 years ahead of it's time. It could have been 1983 instead of 1977.
I was just looking at this on obscure MTV videos on Facebook. I thought this song from Donna Summer came out in 1981 or 1982. This song would have been modern if this song had been played or had come out when the music oriented cop show Miami Vice came out in the early 80s. Now I find out that it came out in 1977! This song was way ahead of its time. You could call this Proto techno. I thought groups like Depeche Mode and Duran Duran had beats like this. I know Kraftwerk was a group that started out at about the same time in 1977 that was all electronic but this song is amazing amazing! I have heard it before years ago but I never had a chance to see the video until now. I never was a fan of disco but I was a fan of early 1980s electronic music. I did see Depeche Mode in Pasadena when they recorded the 101 live album at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on the 18th of June 1988. I was there!

I was kind of a jerk high schooler. I used to say disco sucks and Punk swallows. The Bee Gees didn't bother me. Songs like Ring My Bell was very annoying. I learned to not cringe when I got older and then in the early 80s I went from Hard Rock to NuWave and listening to groups like Duran Duran combined genres. Here's an example of one song like that.

I know you had kiss, Cheap Trick, and others do one disco song even Van Halen did dance the night away but you never heard this song before. LOL

Do you remember a 1979 when they blow up 25,000 disco records at a Minnesota Twins game I think and they had to cancel the second game because of a riot by a bunch of drunk hardrockers? This DJ Steve Dahl was the guy behind it and he made a parody of the do you think I'm sexy song from Rod Stewart. I respect your taste for disco and I just consider it part of my history even though it wasn't my favourite but I hope you don't get offended by this anti disco song I just want you to think of this is something that a Doctor Demento because it is a parody so don't get offended.
