Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I agree... they should be told where to stick their objections. The American Legion Post in the prison that I volunteer at have donated $300.00 to this program for the past 5 years
..."Individuals as well as groups such as American Legion posts and Scouting programs, contributed $24.9 million to Wreaths Across America in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, tax forms show."...

I couldn't agree more with both Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen and SGT Charlie Lee.
As war vets we've been able to glimpse the price tag on freedom and we understand the privileges Americans have that most of the world craves... except, of course, the many Americans who have no clue of the value of what they take for granted. There are givers and takers in this world. Veterans are in the givers category. Love you guys!

Randy, it is showing respect for the Veteran... just like putting an American flag on each Veterans grave on Veterans Day & sometimes July 4th. It would be next to impossible to try to "Ask first". Please read the short piece I C&P'd SFC Randy Hellenbrand ... Thanks!

..."Amber Caron, spokeswoman for the Maine-headquartered Wreaths Across America, said the wreaths, each handmade of 10 boughs of balsam tied with a red velveteen bow, are veterans’ wreaths, not Christmas wreaths.

“We are not ‘decorating graves’ but honoring American heroes,” she said.

The idea of placing wreaths on deceased military members’ graves began informally at Arlington National Cem

etery in December 1992, when a family that owns a wreath-making business in Maine donated their leftover stock to the Army-run cemetery in Virginia.

Since becoming a nonprofit in 2007, Wreaths Across America has expanded to 3,100 burial sites, including 145 of 154 National Cemetery Administration properties, Caron said."...

1) The Wreaths are non-denominational.
2) Families are ABSOLUTELY allowed to opt out
3) As a matter of policy, when asked by Jewish leaders, the wreaths are not laid on tombstones marked by a star of David, as wreaths and flowers go against Jewish custom, unless the family requests a wreath
4) And here is the big one. WREATHS ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. They are actually Pagan / tied to Druidic / Wiccan rites. Every single mention of a wreath in the ENTIRE Bible is a reference to a wreath worn on the head, usually akin to a laurel wreath (although many mentions were cast in gold, and some were decorative, they were still referencing the laurel wreath) or the wreath of thorns (crown of thorns) from Jesus's trial and crucifixion. The "Christmas" wreath we see today? Yeah, nothing Christian about it, other than it appears in the winter, which is also when we celebrate the birth of the Christ.

So yeah, go take your protest and shove it someplace uncomfortable.
