I'm no lawyer, but judging from what it says in the article, it sounds like the evidence they have is circumstantial at best. If he did it, he needs punished. I don't know for sure from article that he is culprit, however, that would not be a reason for doing anything that would put a ship or your shipmates in any danger. Go Poop on the Instructors car, piss on his tires, but no excuse for a violent act that can endanger others.
