I've been seeing this chart for YEARS. Not sure how it is "new."
On a related note, always save your 10. As soon as you rate something a 10 - meaning that your pain is as bad as it could possibly be - the universe senses a challenge. Getting shot with a broken collarbone and a collapsed lung was an 8. Save those high numbers, folks.

Scrubs - A 10 on the pain chart
it's difficult to judge a persons pain, so the medical staff at sacred heart has developed a pain chart, ranging from 1 to 10.
