Complete “woke” BS. The patch when designed in 1917/18 was designed to show unity between the North and South.

Patch is fine. I like the unity concept. The 116th name needs to go.

Dabney, Black & Tan by Douglas Wilson, All Things for Good by J. Steven Wilkins, Christ in the Camp by J. William Jones, The Union War by Gary Gallagher.
We don’t have a single general today with the dignity, courage, and humility of Jackson. A proper study of the man would leave no one offended. The regiment should have no other namesake. Moreover I’m proud to have been in the same Virginia militia that my 3rd and 4th generation great-grandfathers honorably served in under Jackson’s command.
