The headline is gross exaggeration. Link to actual NY State bill is below.
It mentions that it involves detaining a carrier in a medical facility during a publicly declared health crisis. It also contains language stating that a detained person must be released if confirmed to no longer be infected or pose a health danger to others.

That's basically been the law since they detained Typhoid Mary for almost 30 years, until she died. She was held on an island in the East River. Guess what--it was legal and constitutional, and far more so than your participation in incarcerating people without hearings in Gitmo.

NY and NYC are a scarry place now. I was there a couple week ago and I didn't like having to show a vaccination card to be able to use a rest room. While the Boss Lady and I used to like to visit NY, I don't know if we will anymore.

The law allows for people to be detained for "an epidemic of any communicable disease". This is very concerning and is exactly how the article you posted discusses it. My personal opinion is that this law puts New Youk State on par with any other Communist Country in the world. How concerning for all of the United States.
