I am amused everything gets a name these days... "The Great Resignation". There are some good ideas here, some not so good. An old phrase that is good to remember for me is: "Too many cooks spoil the broth".

Welcome to the days of participation trophies where effort is just as important as results.
But the headline is a little off. If working harder is a problem, then we have a serious problem.
