What happened to increasing chip production in the United States. Currently we only produce about 12% of the world's supply. President Trump was pushing for more domestic production. Maybe President Biden likes giving the business to China?

American businesses, being profit driven, won’t bring the manufacturing of electronics or pharmaceuticals back to the States until it costs them too much to import their products.

The issue with tariffs is it’s merely a tax and companies pass taxes to the consumer. They don’t feel any impact from them. We do, SSgt Joseph Baptist

My thoughts would be lower the corporate taxes to entice industry to return, a full blockade on slave labor companies, and if you want to place a tariff on those products, it has to be astronomical. I don’t mean make nikes cost $200, make them cost $1,500. Another good start would be a full blockade on stolen intellectual property and copyright infringed goods from China, SSgt Joseph Baptist
