We used to drive from Illinois to Indiana to load up the car with fireworks.
Where I live now, there are stands on the street selling (way too expensive) fireworks, despite the laws against them. Lax enforcement and lots of people with Chinese/Asian heritage.

Reminds me when we use to cross the In./Ky. Bridge to buy fireworks when my children were young.
