My comment, "I find it interesting that there is plenty of money for the Afghan refugees and the illegal immigrants crossing the southern border but the military does not have equal standing concerning the funding in the budget. While our military did get a 2.7% increase the actual report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), U.S. Department of Labor shows the Consumer prices up 6.8 percent for the year ending November 2021. The forecasted outlook for 2022 is an increase over 2021. Given the 2021 CPI, the disposable income is decreasing. Keep in mind that the BLS algorithm in January 1999, began using a geometric mean formula in the CPI that reflects the fact that consumers shift their purchases toward products that have fallen in relative price that is associated with groceries."
