Conservative is a better tag than fascism. Poll sponsor is Heartland Institute, a right-wing think tank. Along with grossly exaggerating COVID mitigation measures, it also lobbied on behalf of tobacco companies by downplaying cancer risk.

The current society norms for Fascism is that it has become a form of authoritarian ultra-dictates characterized by assumed power over others, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of societal norms. Fascists believe that the current status quo's such democratic or republican values obsolete if they do not agree with their agenda.
In that regard it is more of a liberal/leftist action than conservative.
