I have mix feelings about this one honestly. I'm shocked for one, at the fact we've allowed such divide at this point to deny medical services. Heart transplants take awhile. Who knows how long that young man's been on the waiting list before the pandemic even manifested itself. I have no idea how much longer we as a country will continue to operate before civility is gone and we fall from within.

I don’t. Getting a transplant requires immunosuppressive drugs in order to prevent the transplanted organ from being rejected. If you don’t have any type of immunity before the procedure, you won’t have it after the procedure.

Yeah the news is highlighting a practice that has been going on for decades if not longer.

Why stop with not being vaccinated against name your Covid-19 variant? People who smoke should be added to the no longer on the list as smoking causes PVD and COPD which increases insurance rates. Perhaps, those who do not eat enough fiber too. They risk GI issues. Those over 70yrs should not be allowed on the list. As they die quicker with Covid-19 and it is just a waste of organs to help those who are old and grumpy...The list goes on.
These vaccines for Covid-19 viruses, 5 now?, will help a person survive better than if they do not have a vaccine. But you can get the vaccine and still spread the virus. The only sure way on this Bi0-weapon is to get the virus and survive.
Greg, get your booster shot or you can forget being on any list for transplants in the future. I'm practicing on being in charge.
I am science.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - My post was very coherent and did not ramble. You understood it perfectly. Your down vote for reasons posted is a lie. But you are insane. So, I expected as much from you.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Which Covi-19 vaccine should he get? Booster? Second booster? What law is there to do so concerning transplants?

Capt Gregory Prickett - I understand that. The issue is now it has been made mandatory for him to get covid-19 vaccinated. Will the shot he gets stop the variants? Will it stop A-systematic transmission? There are a lot of unknows with covid-19 vaccinations. It is not like the Polio vaccination. Does the covid-19 vaccinations help? Yes.
Will he still get covid-19? Maybe. Will the next variant be slowed down by vaccination? Probably.
So much data is needed. For someone to claim the good for public health and make it mandatory for one individual that did not comply will open the door to legal proceedings due to the many possibilities with this virus.
I do not know anything about the individual is question on the transplant list. But if he gets any of the vaccinations and has an allergic reaction or name your reaction, it will be in the courts again or it will be settled out of court quietly.
So, which vaccination for covid-19 should be mandatory for him to take? Any of them? All of them?
I hope the individual in question finds a hospital system that helps him and gives him options he and they can work with.
