I'm sure most complaints are anecdotal but we all know what it's like to be deployed on a mission or operation that is perceived a waste of our time and skills while also lack of intent, purpose, and exit strategy.

when "the system" just turns them loose after the border crossers are captured, seems to be a waste of time for many.

Yes "the system" that takes biometric info and hands individuals over to confirmed family members who also can be tracked does have its faults like every other local, state, and federal system. Same system is also conducting mass deportations of those that don't qualify for temp residency or custody status.
If we only had a government that can reform "the system" without politicizing it for hyper partisan agendas. Such as never fix it and you can campaign on it forever with no intention of fixing it.
