As Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen would say, in jest, "Equal opportunity offending time" Almost saw a fist fight start at the VFW a few years ago when someone (after a few beers) said "there are only three real services, the Marines and Coasties are all part of the Navy anyway". In the meantime the Space Force is looking to change the official salute to "Live Long and Prosper" (with appropriate Vulcan hand gesture)

It may be churlish, but since the SF is going to have sgts and not petty officers, I lost interest. (Although.......Petty is from the French petite meaning small, insignificant) :-))
