Right now, polls show that the majority of Americans do not want USA militarily involved in a war. It may be a bluff but Putin has already declared that this type of activity would be considered a co-combatant action. Makes for an interesting situation.

It was my understanding Poland would send their fighters to Ukraine and the US would replace them with ours.
