Of course Thomas dissented. Now he'll have to actually work and write the dissent. Is he afraid the pastor is going to shank a Corrections Officer?

So, you have no issues about judicial opinions (or lack of opinions-what defines a female) by a potential black female liberal, but you do have issues with judicial opinions by a black male Conservative

MSG (Join to see) - I have issues with a Justice who does nothing. Race/gender has nothing to do with it.

SrA John Monette -
You criticized Thomas, who took a stand and stated what his view was on a particular case, who has been doing his job and has continued to do it for decades. He is a black male and a conservative.
You had no issue on a previous post when Jackson, a black female liberal, refused to even state what defines a female. This is an example of someone who does nothing out of fear that they will offend someone and is likely to have conflicted judicial views based on changing and subjective social views.
As it has been pointed out many times by liberals, it is in the public interest that someone seeking a lifetime position must explain their judicial and political views.
"Justice Clarence Thomas, who has been hospitalized this week with what the court has called an infection, dissented, detailing the circumstances of Ramirez's crime and charging that Ramirez made his claims to simply delay a sentence "lawfully imposed" by Texas.
Thomas, the court's senior conservative justice, said the majority should have denied Ramirez the opportunity to "manipulate the judicial process." He charged that the inmate's lawyer used the federal law at issue "abusively" and that the victim's family members will now continue to suffer "recurrent emotional injuries."
"In RLUIPA, Congress created a potent tool with which prisoners can protect their sincerely held religious beliefs," Thomas said, but "like any tool, it can be wielded abusively."

I have no problem with that. Hell, give him some communion wine too. Take the edge off.
