People that think petroleum products only involve transportation need to take a deeper look. “Artificial “ fertilizer is processed from petroleum. As oil prices fluctuate so does the cost of fertilizer. The US is the third largest importer of fertilizer in the world. For American strategic security we need to increase our production of oil and our ability to process it. We are being warned that that the world maybe facing food shortages, Biden said this will involve the US.

1000$ dollars a ton for N up here, that translate to 100$ an acre for 90lbs of N

Good article! It lays it out. I remember seeing an article locally here from about a half year saying there were going to be shortages because of fertilizer not being available, or at a greatly increased cost. We will see.
