Can't do it here, the law says, that you'll have to be a certified teacher to be with the kids in a classroom.
The department of education certifying office does the certifying of teachers.
The department learned long ago, not to just put anyone as a sub, or baby sitter in the classroom. It never worked.

Sgt (Join to see) - I can see it now, a PFC calling in artillery danger close, or air support by your AO. Lol

SGT (Join to see) - Just curious what state you live in. If they can't find a teacher in Tennessee they can issue an emergency license one year at a time. Memphis has many teachers on these emergency licenses.

Cpl Vic Burk - Don't live in the mainland, I live on Guam, a small island in the pacific. Every year we have a problem with not enough teachers on island, but DOE recruits off island, must be a good deal, every year we get applicated form the states.
Here on Guam, when summer comes, teachers have a choice of getting the summer months pay in one lumpsum, or paid every 2 weeks.
And, you can always work for the Department of Defense as a school teacher, and teach on base for military family students. But, every year you have to reapply to be a teacher for DOD, a good way of not keeping teachers that are not wanted. The DOD teachers are not required by Guam law to be a certified teacher, they just get paid more.
Hey, DOD has a blank check. Lol
