Midterm poll forecasts bleak outlook for Dems, trail GOP with groups they usually win

That is the general consistence.

You always hear me say “We get what we vote for.” The question is how do they do it election after election? It’s the Democrat – Republican cycle after cycle after cycle.

You get a personable Democrat or Republican, doesn’t really matter which one. They tell people what they want to hear, visit the Legion once in a while, make sure they’re seen in Church, meet with special interest groups as much as they can, go down to the elderly high rise with some grant money and some local borough politicians who are just too glad to help these folks with their ballets, and in general schmooze until everyone’s heart is content.

These politicians give lip service when their party is not in power: we’ll do this, and we’ll do that; and then when the party is in power, they never have enough to make “real changes”. I must confess the Democrats are much better at congressional investigations to destroy their enemies, they really have no shame (like they care). In the meantime, all the congressmen and senators make fortunes insider trading and think that we’re fools. Well maybe they’re right. What is a person who keeps voting the same jerks into office who won’t do their basic job of passing a budget and working for their people?

Until we’re willing to toss these “personable politicians” out on their ear, nothing will ever change. We need to select people who will carry through what they say they will do. I guess in that respect Democrats are better. They are doing exactly what they said they would do in the last election. They begged Georgia for a few more votes… and they got them.
