What the Biden administration is trying to hide by pinning the responsibility for the food supply crisis on Russia’s invasion, is the degree with which China has bought up America’s farmland and what that really means.
According to the USDA “Chinese owners controlled about 192,000 agricultural acres in the U.S., worth $1.9 billion, including land used for farming, ranching and forestry.”

Lt Col Charlie Brown Right now I don't think it is that big of a problem. However, if the Chinese continue to buy more farmland this could lead to the Chinese controlling our country out of the necessity of putting food on the table.

Kind of old news, it's been going on for decades. I know both of my inlaws farms in Iowa were bought back in 2004 by a conglomerate owned in China. It's the Chineese playbook, buy up things in countries until you get to the point where the country is dependent on China. Problem is you need to buy a lot more in the US than say some African country to ever get there.
