Immigration judges work for the DOJ, and Garland runs the DOJ. He is rightfully within his role in making that judgment.

SFC Casey O'Mally - I was appalled that Garland would overrule his own review board who I view as having the best direct knowledge of what is happening in any specific case they are reviewing. Lacking further clarification backing what Garland did here, he should be removed. Overall, it appears Garland is trying to make excuses to be lenient, that’s not his job. Protecting our Country by correct interpretation of our laws is his job.

SFC (Join to see) You have to remember that he serves at the pleasure...

He should only be removed if he is not doing what Biden wants. Conversely, if he isn't removed, or at least publicly censured, we can assume Biden approves.

Ah, all judges work for DOJ and Garland is head of DOJ. Last I checked the boss can tell people who work for him what they can, and can't do.

Very interesting! Obama had his DOJ Wingman. Trump wasn't allowed to have a DOJ Wingman the DOJ was supposed to be independent. Now Biden has a DOJ Wingman and it's OK again. It seems only Democrats are allowed to have DOJ Wingmen. We must always remember history.

SFC (Join to see) Huh? The only AG who were a wingman for a president was under Trump. You need to check history and facts.

No sir "ALL JUDGES" do not work for the Attorney General/DOJ. Only Immagration judges fall under the DOJ. All other federal judges fall under the presiding officer of the Supreme Court (Chief Justice) who has supervisory authority over the entire federal judicial system. Separate branch of government.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Obama-Holder, need I say more? If I'm not mistaken Trump had Sessions (caved to the Left every time he could) and then Barr (he works for no one but himself). Now Biden has Garland, not an independent bone in his body.

He is indeed! The executive branch. Is he projecting 'checks and balances' on a coequal branch of government? Seems to be undue influence to me. Good catch!

He is within his rights, but this is where rights are wrong. MHO
Was he recommend it for the SCOTUS? Thank God he didn’t get confirmed.
