It is truly sad to see things come to this. I still remember when McDonalds opened in Moscow in the 90s and the lines were huge, according to the news. It was exciting to watch the Berlin war taken down and I recently lamented where we are now when I happened to walk by a large section of it on display at the Air Force's 16th Air Force Headquarters, Lackland AFB. I was also a Billy Joel fan at the time, and to this day I still recall his 1987 "Kohuept" album when he played in Leningrad. James Dean's song "The Times They Are A-Changin'" sung by Billy Joel, was very powerful as the Cold War was coming to an end. Russia now has reverted and it is a damn shame. So much progress wiped out by a man's desire to return to those days... Why? I truly hope that if Putin is indeed terminally sick, Russia finds a way to put a better leader in charge. One who strives for peace with the western world.
