The way retail stores have historically treated managers, I hope Walmart understands this offer would really just be an internship to move onto companies that pay and treat their managers better.

I just read the article in the Wall Street Journal of May 16, 2022. While mentioning some store managers as having tenure of up to 10 years, the article also spoke of those managers being paid $200,000 annually.
