If restrictive gun laws were the answer, NY, NYC, Chicago, etc would be the safest places around. It's not the guns or lack of gun laws.

Yes, we are the Experiment, that is currently in danger of failing. When people won't take personal responsibility, a Republic is doomed to fail as our Founding Fathers told us. Liberty and freedom, in that order, are the first rights to be taken away in a transition from a Republic to a Dictatorship.

SrA John Monette have you ever lived in England? I have. I was there when #10 Downing St. Came under attack by mortar rounds from a van. I have sat on an underground train, waiting for the bomb squad to clear the tracks ahead. The number of knife slashing and killings is up in places like London, where they were thinking of banning knives. The number of armed British police is now greater than 6500. Yep, so much safer. The only ones armed in Britain are cops and criminals.

Lawmakers have to find some middle ground they can agree on. There is just too much violence. No parent should have to wonder on a daily basis if they are sending their children to their deaths when they go to school SFC (Join to see)

That being say we also need to understand that nothing is 100%. We can make life better, but not foolproof. There is always going to be a door open, or a determined deranged person who will take out a resource officer first.
Our Progressive Democrat and Republician friends want to make people believe they can wave a magic wand and stop all violence. Life just doesn't work that way. In their hearts that know that, but they use the exceptions to consolidate more control; and power for themselves. If they honestly do believe in total government control, maybe they should go over and live in China or Russia as a common person for a few years and they will see where they are trying to take our Country.

All the laws on the book presently could have stopped this and other incidents. But they are not being upheld. More gun laws only restrict those who obey and respect the law. Right now the Socialist Left Marxist’s (those who are guiding the currant administration) only answer in continue with anarchism.
