Well unless part of the plan is to move the seats back to provide for more leg room for some one taller than 5'6" it will not help much.

I agree...I have flown Emirates/Garuda Indonesia/All Nippon/Korean Air/JAL/British Airways and a lot of coach and service on those airlines are like first class to us. Our carriers are only concerned about the bottom line. Those carriers understand the bottom line resides with happy repeat customers and they have it right.

I have not flown Garuda or BA but have flown EVA, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Thai, Singapore, Qatar, Vietnam, Philippines, Air Macau, Sri Lanakan, Air Asia and the worst of these, IMO, Philippines Air is head and shoulders above any US flag carriers

I have never flown 1st Class so can not speak to differences, but the vast majority that fly Coach will appreciate the changes proposed. Now if we could get just an inch or two more seat room.
