These are "sports" That's a business. If you can't make it without government support, you are doing it wrong.

The Rays keep blustering about moving, and have been for years. Why spend taxpayer dollars on a team that wants out anyway.

Professional teams that pay millions to players can afford to build their one stadium. MHO

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi Funny thing is short of hockey the stands (especially and more so for the Rays) for the Tampa Bay area are usually up to half filled with people supporting the other team. So many retirees and transplants from other States.
Oddly enough the Tampa Bay Lighting probably have the most prolific fan base in the area. They just set an NHL record for the most sold out seasons.

SFC (Join to see) If that Walmart heir, Rob Walton wants to buy the Denver Broncos for $4.65 Billion, should Denver advance him $35 Million for a ‘key’ deposit? Would the Tampa Bay Rays really miss the $35 Million that DeSantis is denying them?
