Agree with the concept, but there should be a limit on the time they can apply for a green card and become US citizens.
You have to be at least a legal resident to enlist - so they are "green card" holders. That's the issue. They never get their citizenship when they're in the military, they get out and then end up committing a crime which can cause them to get deported.

Personally, I feel if they have served honorable then it should be automatic citizenship. But it is up to those in Washington DC to make it happen. Sadly we are just pawns to them.
