Picher, Oklahoma once was a regular town filled with life and activity, but now a visit to Picher is very different. No longer are streets lined with homes, schools filled with children or city buildings thriving with business, instead slabs remain in many instances, buildings are left to ruin and the very town which brought life to the citizens is now more so known for how it became to dangerous to inhabit. Today we explore the story of Picher and its mining history and ultimate fate as it became known as The Most Toxic Town In America."
