PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln correction, using voice text naval officers. Our base commander was a Navy Commander. Our Deputy Commander was an active-duty Special Forces major. Our F2 intelligence officer was a Navy Lieutenant JG, Our operations officer was a Navy Lieutenant Commander. Our Logistics officer was a female army helicopter pilot rank of Captain 03. Our Personnel officer was a Navy chief petty officer.

I am the one giving the fire commands and everybody else in the vehicle are navy from E3 to E6. They were happy to get off the ship and do some Gunnery instead of loading bombs. The Navy petty officer on the machine gun is a cook. I know all Navy personnel fire weapons but this was something they were happy to do at Fort Bragg before deployment to Afghanistan.
