Actually SCOTUS followed the law. The EPA gets it's power from congress and thru legislation gets it's mandates from the clean water act, the clean air act and other legislation. The Executive branch does not have the authority to change those mandates, if congress wishes they can enact new laws changing those mandates but the president does not have that authority. But I would not expect some of you to understand how the constitution works.

It's an easy fix. Congress simply has to be the entity that defines the agency's mission instead of leaving it up to the agency.
My comment here though, in no way is an endorsement of the EPA, itself unconstitutional, or the idea that there exists any kind of crisis in climate that need to be, or even can be, addressed.

SCOTUS didn't limit the federal governments ability. At all. In now way, shape, or form. At least not with this decision.
They just said that if federal agencies want to take action, they have to have been given authority by Congress. Yes I know, that whole "legislative branch actually makes the laws" concept? I think I read about that somewhere.
SCOTUS didn't overstep. EPA did. And SCOTUS halted them. Now for all the other federal agencies writing laws without going through Congress.
