Happy USA Independence Day everyone! Canada had their independence day on July 1st and you have yours on the 4th!
Some on the left feel ashamed of being an American citizen. Others May say foxtrot the 4th. They don't know how lucky they have it!
1976 versus 2022.
Vietnam had fallen then and Afghanistan had fallen now.
Back in 1976, Inflation was growing in the USA. President Nixon, Ford and Carter used price controls and we had shortages. President Biden is considering using them but he can't educate his staff that when he was a young congressman price controls were a failure.
The USA was perceived as weak against the Russians back in 1976 and now.
President Ford and Carter were considered the worst Presidents, but I believe, in my honest opinion, that historians will consider President Carter and President Ford considered more competent now. The Only Exception was President Carter wanted to pull United States forces completely out of South Korea and only Major General Singlaub ruined his career on purpose to embarrass President Carter and this resulted in his plan being rejected by Congress.
