Watching the movie Cast a Giant Shadow on the Paramount Channel.

The beginning scene has Yul brynner, Frank Sinatra and Kirk Douglas together. It is true that at the beginning of the Israeli war for independence in 1948 Jewish Americans used a fake Airline papers from Costa Rica to get supplies to Israel.

I forgot about this movie having a tank column of Sherman tanks being attacked by Frank Sinatra flying a Piper Cub trainer using Seltzer bottles as a psychological weapon against Egyptian troops.

Much of this movie was filmed in Israel and I bet you these tanks were Israeli supplied. The Israelis would modify Sherman tanks putting 105 millimeter guns on them and they were called super Shermans.

I don't think these tanks were super Sherman's but they may have had the 25 pounder gun and have been British Firefly Sherman tanks.
