General Dynamics unit wins contract to build new light tank for infantry

Okay I am hearing rumors the Stryker Armored gun system is being replaced with this for Airborne units. But it can't be dropped from an aircraft. Is anyone else scratching their heads over this one?

No, the Airborne and Aur Assault units have needed an armoured gun for nearly 30 years. ATGMs are great, but they cannot do what a tank (even a very light one) can. Long over due.
