You grabbed this old ship's husband's interest. Then, at the very end of the article, it discloses that the Essex has had the printer since 2014. Lot of promise there, but after 8 years you'd expect the technology to have progressed past one (of dozens) of aluminum alloys in service. Like to see it printing more vital metals such as g metal, cuni, cres, etc. Also, looked for subsafe, 600lb and containment vessel applications. Promise there, baby steps. HTs, MRs, take note.
