Referencing your "8 ideas......." post; "Just because something sounds good or feels right does not mean a certain goal will be achieved. In fact, the very problem that is being addressed can become worse."

How so? The FDA will have to get off their duffs and protect the consumers and non-consumers from the detrimental effects on public health that has long been censured by the media, drug industry "professionals" and the drug heads themselves. Name one thing that is all sunshine and rainbows, safe for consumption by all. I guarantee, it ain't cannabis. There is real world reasons why every culture, throughout history, has regulated cannabis.

PO1 Sam Deel You list all the things that the temperance cult said about alcohol before Prohibition. Wasn't true about alcohol and isn't true about marijuana.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Temperance Cult? Try hard fast evidence, Sir. Yes, I can back up 100% of my statement with cold, hard facts. Actual facts, not those Biden "truths over the facts" nonsense.

SFC (Verify To See) - Something the Pro-crowd conveniently ignore as a "inconvenient truth", as Al Gorp would say.

Sorry Yale, but that dog don't hunt. Case in point, cannabis. As States become their own drug cartels, they did so only to benefit the Tax coffers. Had nothing to do with "Liberties". For exampled, when Colorado finally implemented their taxation of cannabis after the "legalization" of cannabis, there was a grumble by the users, yet they consumed pot and all the derivatives in droves. Once a taste for a new Tax is savored, the politicians invariably increase said Taxes. Thus, Colorado made a major jump in the taxation of cannabis. However, it did nothing to stifle the consumption of said product. In fact, it drove some people back to their old ways, which is STILL unlawful in that State. Furthermore, Cigarette Taxes are already high. Vaping is still far below that level.

What is the Truth of the matter is, like cigarettes in the past and cannabis today, people are slowly discovering that vaping is not all that safe. It causes respiratory disease, with proven cases of death from heavy usage. A person that vapes will "smoke" more times a day than they normally would with cigarettes. Medical studies are now proving that vaping will scar the lungs at a much greater rate than cigarettes. A Family member stopped smoking a little over a decade ago. His lungs had no signs of scarring. He has been vaping ever since. He now has large amounts of scarring on his lungs and has trouble breathing. Yet taxes, health effects or not, he continues to vape.
