Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I can foresee a belt or a switch action behind closed doors in this kids future at the minimum and possible grounding with severe restrictions on movements for a remainder until they turn 18 and leave the house

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - my father was reassigned to Albuquerque MEPS and got on base housing (Kirkland afb). The only trouble I got into as a kid was went to on post gas station to get gas before school. I ran over the gas pump trying to stop. the brakes failed and only way i stopped was to slam it into park. The 2 sp's didn't believe me until he got into it. lol

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - maybe that's the reason we have the society we have now. Your childhood is not indicative of others childhood.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - that's a general BS statement. do you want to throw the silent or the greatest generation in there also"? my kids are grown and gone and all are doing well.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - stop trying to judge adults by their behavior from the historic past with the latest in standards. you were not there. this study wasn't written in 1920 or even in 1980. I'm only guessing but think the bible and religion guided parents on rearing of offspring. Some adults were just plain mean. does it make it right? No. I was never mean to my children. I made them sweat it out for a few hours before I spoke to them.
