Seems the new ads are not working...and the very public support for the military (or lack thereof) from those in charge doesn't help either

Well, what is the Army’s message for joining? Where is the “buy in” for them? It use to be “be all you can be” now it seems like a muddled bunch of “here’s some $$: join and do your own thing: well will bend over to kiss your ass if you join; be gay with pride with some others wearing cool uniforms; at least we aren’t the navy” etc…None of which motivate, interest or stimulate someone to make a life altering decision.
The Marines continue to make mission with time honored recruiting messages like: become a Marine; we fight wars and kill people; will will treat you like shit but you will be a Marine” …all which reach a market that want a change or want to be part of a winning team or just be bad ass.
