This clown was also stopped for drunk driving and tried to claim political immunity. The State trooper didn't buy the story and he was charged accordingly. What did he care anyways. He is already rich from his years in congress.

The world's greatest Ponzi scheme. It's backfiring on the government now. I suspect soon they will raise the percentage of contribution everyone has to pay to keep the program going.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi At the time SS was solvent so they were able to do this. It got screwed up during the Reagan Administration when they put SS into the general fund and the feds robbed it. If they hadn't done that it would still be solvent. Even today I $147,000 of your annual wages you have to pay social security tax on so it isn't all of it if you have a super well paying job.

However, it is paid out to anyone that paid into it for the required period. There should be a phase out for those with high incomes. In all probability, that could be me. Back to the basis premise as stated in the beginning of this thread. Make it last for those really in need.

I agree with you even though I also would be on the "phase out" plan. All of our Congress who are at the appropriate age shouldn't be collecting either.

Lt Col Charlie Brown You can bet it such a plan we’re passed, that would be an exclusion as is other laws passed. Insider trading info available from Pelosi.
