Christian hospitals in Australia will remain protected from an abortion mandate for now after lawmakers defeated a radical anti-religious freedom bill Wednesday.
The Epoch Times reports parliament in the state of Victoria overwhelmingly rejected the legislation in a 28-7 vote. Sponsored by MP Fiona Patten, the bill would have required hospitals to kill unborn and born patients through abortion and assisted suicide in order to continue receiving taxpayer funding

What the heck are these people thinking? NO HOSPITAL should be REQUIRED to do those things. I can almost understand if they have the option of assisted suicide in the case of relieving pain from cancer IF they wish to provide that service, but to kill a baby after a live birth unless there are extenuating circumstances is horrible.

Agreed. If an adult in excrutiating pain with no end in sight wants to have assisted suicide then I understand it. I watched my father and several family members suffer knowing there wasn't anything that would end it and it was terminal. They as grown cognizant thinking adults conciously make that decision then iam ok with it. A newborn baby and even one formed in the womb doesn't ahve a say and to kill them randomly for money is just well sick!

It's not up to the government what Church owned and run hospitals do even though they receive funding from the government, it is against the Biblical rules and teachings to harm a child Lt Col Charlie Brown
