I'm a liberal (I love and defend liberty), and I love and defend tradition. It is that tradition that led us to acknowledge that liberty (the responsible exercise of individual freedoms) is every person's birthright. Oh yes, and America is losing its mind. Why? I suspect that many (if not most Americans) are succumbing to crackpot ideas because they fear life. They're losing control in an ever more complex world that they don't understand and schools aren't helping them learn how to think for themselves. Rather, they are indoctrinating children with hard and fast doctrines that don't match reality. Who wouldn't be confused and afraid? Those who can still reason and decide for themselves
