Hurricane Katrina makes landfall near New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Category 3 hurricane on August 29, 2005. Despite being only the third most powerful storm of the 2005 hurricane season, Katrina was among the worst natural disasters in the history of the United States. In the wake of the storm, there were over 50 failures of the levees and flood walls around New Orleans and its suburbs. The levee and flood wall failures caused widespread flooding.

The levees were blown up. There was demolition residue and although they did an investigation because they suggested that the Seebees failed, it was swept under the rug. The contractor even said he used more than needed to ensure they questioned him. I don't know if they have somehow deleted all the information but in 2006, when I went to my Grandfather's funeral I was able to have them show me the court documents. The people who hired the contractor used a shell company that was tracked back to wealthy Louisianans and a company owned by Donald Trump. The levees would have held otherwise...
