Cars today look like they came from a cookie cutter, back then they were stylish, you could tell one from the other by looking at the front or rear end from a distance. I would hazard to say that the 40's to the 60's were the golden age of cars.

My friends dad had a Dodge that looked just like a De Soto. Had a push button transmission shifter, nicknamed a typewriter. He used to go to a hill, press N and drift backwards. Then he would press D and damn did his fathers tires smoke !

Too many American car lines have disappeared. Besides Plymouth, we have lost Mercury, Saturn, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
