"BYU police, who investigated the incident, determined that the fan who was banned for yelling the racial slurs was not, in fact, the person who shouted them, the Salt Lake Tribune reported — and further stated that they had yet to find any evidence that anyone shouted them at all."
My thoughts --
1) Something happening, but not what was alleged of the guy who was identified. There's no video evidence proof -- from the official game tape to potential smart phone recordings
2) If this happened continuously throughout the game, not a single person did anything about it -- hard to believe in this heated day and age
3) Mainstream media is quick to jump on a narrative without verifying -- that's the world we live in...

Our system of what is right or wrong is flawed. People are supposed to be innocent until they have their day in court. We lose when citizens form a sort of taking things into their own hands.

Interesting that the cops and other school officials who watched the fan on video, can't find anything showing that he actually did what she alleges. Nor did anyone else hear the alleged "slurs."

In this instance though, the player didn't orchestrate. I'm sure she heard something, and the MSM leaped at this opportunity to drive a divisive narrative

The police report says that on Sunday — one day later — someone left a threatening voicemail for a BYU athletic coach. The report does not identify the coach or provide details about the anonymous message.
The report, with names redacted, was obtained by The Salt Lake Tribune through a public records request. It says the fan who was banned approached a Duke volleyball player after the game Friday in an interaction she reported made her uncomfortable. The police report says the fan “got in the face” of the player, who is not identified, but doesn’t note if anything was said.
The player’s family has said she was approached by a white man who told her to watch her back.
