Well if the police are powerless to control the crime wave then is simply the businesses are going to remove themselves from the equation

Yes as a result millions if not billions in taxes that are used to pay for police and other services. Less money means less revenues and higher taxes which further worsen the problems.

SPC David S. WOW, doesn't it though. As a mayor, how could you allow your city to fall into such as disarray of violence and death. Just sad...

Crime has forced any business to relocate because their safety and profits are more at risk in those areas especially in large metropolitan cities, much like Chicago

There is a solution but requires significant investment in order to make gang life less attractive than being a productive member of society. Some of the best colleges in the country yet surrounded by urban blight is just one example of the problem. Seems to me that the economic gap, education gap and gap in safety in the widest in democrat run cities. Seems like its time to start questioning the policies that have produced these results. Left leaning policies are failing millions and its because society has enabled this failure. Time for change or at least admit there is a problem. You ask the mayor of Chicago - she'll deflect and cast the blame onto something else. Who's in charge, who's leading and directing the policy? What's her response - “YOU WILL STOP SPEAKING!”

Horrible leadership.

The comments tell the real story of Chicago. People are tired of the excuses.
