"Not too long ago, Zac Efron was scarfing down vegan smoothies and extolling the life-changing benefits of veganism. But, at some point over the last few years, the cover star of Men's Health's October issue couldn't fight what his body was trying to tell him.

"I started intermittent fasting just after I stopped being vegan. My body wasn't processing the vegetables in the right way," Efron explains to Men's Health. "So, I decided to stop it and try something new. Intermittent fasting has been really helpful with that."

Now, he only eats two meals daily, and both have their fair share of meat. After some morning cardio to get the blood flowing, he breaks his fast around 11 A.M. with some bone broth soup and veggies along with clean proteins like elk and chicken. Later in the evening, he packs the carbs on with another serving of meat and "a healthy carbohydrate like sweet potatoes or quinoa." Veganism wasn't only in disagreement with his body; it was also depriving him of one of his favorite delicacies: organ meats.

"This is kind of weird, but I really like organ meats. I love liver and onions."...
