Corporal Henry Norwest was a Native Canadian 1st Nations Sniper. He was NOT Métis or Mixed-Race. My Wife and Auntie Marlyn Buffalo are direct descendants of Henry Norwest. He was Canada's #2 Sniper in World War 1. He had over 115 confirmed kills and maybe another 45 unconfirmed. He was killed and his spotter wounded by a German Counter-sniper team. Once HQ got a report on his death, the Canadians called in artillery in the nearby enemy trench line.
