.I remember reading about when lobotomies were considered good medical procedures...I suspect this will end up in the same place.

The taxpayer should not be on the hook for elective surgery.

I'm so old, I can remember seeing flyers at college regarding female genital mutilation overseas and trying to stop it. Now they want us to pay for it here.
